Berkshire Hathaway
After Laurance A. See passed away, the remaining family members sought a buyer for their beloved company. Along came Berkshire Hathaway, run by Warren Buffett and Charles Munger. Warren and Charles greatly admired Seeās and were impressed by the brandās loyal customer baseānot to mention the candy! Berkshire Hathaway purchased Seeās Candies in 1972.
WARREN BUFFETT
Born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1930, Warren Buffett has been dubbed the most successful investor of the 20th century. From a young age, Buffett showed a keen interest in business and investing. His first ventures included selling gum, Coca-Cola and magazines door-to-door. He is now known as one of the worldās wealthiest people.
Warren Buffettās love for Seeās Candies is no secret. He first tasted our candy in 1971 and has since called Seeās a "dream business." Happily for him, itās also one that keeps him supplied with Peanut Brittle and Chocolate Walnut Fudge!
CHARLES MUNGER
One of Seeās most cherished and influential leaders, the late Charles āCharlieā Munger made an indelible mark on the history and legacy of our company. As Warren Buffettās investment partner and Vice Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, he said that Seeās taught him the power of a good brandāseeing the strong loyalty of our customers was a surprise, providing a vital lesson for Charlie and Warren in their early investment days.
Also from Omaha, Nebraska, Charlie was born in 1924 and studied mathematics at the University of Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a meteorologist, and later graduated from Harvard Law School. He later moved to California with his family to work as a real estate attorney. Throughout his life, he even designed buildings! His work includes dorms at Stanford and University of Michigan, as well as his own home.

Pat Egan
Our President and CEO, Pat Egan, joined Seeās Candies in 2018, as President. He became CEO in 2019 when Brad Kinstler retired. With a focus on exceptional customer service, Pat is moving Seeās forward while maintaining the companyās legacy of quality.
Pat joined Seeās with 12 years of Berkshire Hathaway experience, having served as SVP of Customer Operations at NV Energy and VP of Customer and Community Affairs at Pacific Power. He holds a Juris Doctor from Willamette University and a Bachelor of Science in History from Oregon State University. A lifelong Seeās fan, Pat is looking forward to building upon our tremendous history after overseeing the celebration of Seeās Centennial in 2021.

Truly, the key ingredient in Seeās success is the dedication of its thousands of employees, many of whom have served Seeās for decades. Each day, our employees produce, pack and ship our candy to customers around the world, while others help our customers in shops and online. Others work in our offices, overseeing every aspect of the candy business.
